When the tranqs finally wear off he calls home and they send his brother to get him out - only he has discovered that one of the female inmates was incarcerated for claiming to have seen a werewolf. They stop on the way out and she is tranq'ed to the gills - but the brother recognizes her as his mate so they bring her unconscious body along. The heroine wakes up in a strange bed and a strange house which she discovers is somewhere in the far north of Canada. The inhabitants are brothers - appealing Christian, big, burly, dominant Eban - and charming Connor, their father.

They eventually manage to reassure her and she stays on. The heroine is small and thin but as she recovers from the drugs that the asylum had used on her daily she recovers her health and spirit. This is a good thing - because she's in for a lot of shocks in the remainder of the book Not to mention the marathon sex! An excellent first novel. Hopefully there will be a sequel, there's still Christian to get mated.

This is my first foray with M. I doubt it will be my last. This is a werewolf story with heart and meat. I really liked the characters, even though I wanted to smack Gwen in the head a few times. No one could be so naive. A fellow reader commented that she was weak. I disagree, I found her to be naive and sheltered.

And due to the circumstances she was raised, he actions and reactions were very appropriate. I adored Eben. He is how I like my alpha males to be written. I recommend for a This is my first foray with M. I recommend for anyone else to read. It is not a disappointing read at all. Nov 13, Poonam rated it liked it Shelves: paranormal-or-fantasy , romance. The Romance was just as I like it with a very possessive Hero.

The only reason this is 3. She tried to run away only once but I would have expected more struggle from her side. Also, the ending was a bit abrupt. Overall I enjoyed this book and Thanks Fre0 3. Overall I enjoyed this book and Thanks Fre06 for your recommendation! Jan 30, Lisa rated it really liked it. It was the terrorizing sight that she witnessed of a werewolf devouring his human prey by the roadside that triggered her botched attempt. Content with her sedative life in the sanatorium of sleeping and drawing pictures of the creature that haunts her nightmares Gwen is unaware that one of her sketches has drawn the attention of the hospitals newest patient, a man who also has an affinity for the full moon.

Being sent to spring a sibling from a mental hospital would have been a bizarre event in any normal family, but after years of bailing his brother out of numerous weird situations Eben anticipated being in and out of Ohio and back in Canada in a flash. She was a problem that would have to be dealt with quickly, ruthlessly and in person. I just love this time of year.

The hot days of summer are over, the leaves are turning all different shades of vibrant colors and Halloween is just around the corner. To get myself in the holiday mood I love to immerse myself in one of my favorite addictions… reading Werewolf romances. Everaux has composed a story with well-rounded characters, a plot that is extremely tight and love scenes that are as hot and steamy as a car window at Lovers Lane on a Saturday night.

I could barely put this one down and I am happy to admit that I have already read it again a few times over. You deserve it, trust me we all do, lol!!! May 20, Dianne rated it really liked it Shelves: , re-read. Gwen has a bit of a problem. The next Alfa Wolf of a clan in far northern Canada is lusting after her. Actually, she has lots and lots of problems. The first is she is in a mental institution because she saw a werewolf and nobody would believe her. She has been kidnapped sort of from the institution and now, she finds herself living with one of the most demanding werewolves around!

This story Gwen has a bit of a problem. This story is not going to be for every erotica lover. Eben is a very strong and strong willed character and can be downright annoyingly bossy. He will not take no for an answer.

In one scene there is a forced seduction. On the other hand Gwen can be downright annoying too and of course will not listen to anyone even if it is for her own good. The fact that I still loved this book will be obvious to anyone who dares purchase it!

They are both a product of their upbringings. Eben was a refreshing Alpha hero. He never came off as a jerk to me. Yes, he was firm and never back down and that's a sign of a true Alpha wolf. This was an interesting take on finding one's mate in a loony bin. I like the relationship Gwen developed with Christian.

Gwen did one bonehead move but I guess we needed the conflict. The sex was hot, really hot!! The only thing I'm left wanting to know is why Theron kept visiting Gwen in his wolf form. He wasn't trying to kill her then, so why the vi Eben was a refreshing Alpha hero.

He wasn't trying to kill her then, so why the visits? View all 9 comments. I don't mind voilence but when a person takes away another person's ability to make descisions over their own life and then ad rapelike sex to it all and still make it out like the girl likes it while she is crying I just don't want to be a part of it May 31, Ladymcbeth rated it it was amazing Shelves: romance , paranormal , werewolf.

Great book if you love alpha werewolf. Oct 14, Fatimama rated it it was ok. Heroine is TSTL and constantly put herself in danger. There was barely any romance, no relationship building. I will however say that for the length of the book, there was a good plot, tons of great, hot, borderline animal, sweaty sex that I am sure you would all enjoy a well as a great almost OTT alpha and by almost I mean because it's like OTT with an exception to this one scene that wouldn't make any sense to OTT A 3.

I also kind of really liked this element in the book because it brought some originality to the whole mate and werewolves topic that we all know so well. Despite wanting to slap Eben a couple times, I really did like his character because he stayed the same from beginning to end, which is a shocker because sometimes in werewolf books, the main heroes become so soft after meeting their mate that it's almost too cheesy to read.

Eben however stayed the same brooding, glaring, angry all the time, yet somehow still handsome as Gwen described him. So I was really satisfied with how he turned out to be. Gwen on the other hand I honestly won't say anything because I found her lacking in every sense of the word. I kept switching from this to this If you're willing to sacrifice Gwen's character and the lacking ending, I am sure you will like this book. Gwen Eben Lowell has a problem of his own.

They make comments on how she has grown as a person from her arrival but in the end she never stands her own against her "Mate". They just have sex and all the problems are resolved. If they really did break her out of a mental institution then once she phoned home the police might have been looking for her but nothing ever comes of the mention of her relationship with her mom. Oct 29, Varied Books rated it it was ok. Not enough love between MC. The author has a nice writing voice. Jul 27, Amanda rated it really liked it Shelves: werewolf-fiction. This was a really great book. Pretty solid plot, nice smut, and some actual characterization. For people who are only looking for criticism, here are the reasons why it wasn't 5 stars: 1. The use of the word 'cream' to describe Gwen's The last page of the book contained a particular sex act that I was hoping would not be in the novel 3.

I wish Gwen's reaction to Eben was slightly more positive before the relationship progressed in specific ways. I'm not going to spoil anything, but This was a really great book. I'm not going to spoil anything, but she was still very wary of him when certain aspects of their living situation changed and it made me uncomfortable until she changed her views.

All in all it was great, but those couple things kind of stuck with me which keeps me from giving it the full 5 stars. Nov 28, Ty McGuiness rated it did not like it. Eben and Gwen were apart for most of the time.

She was mostly with Conor and Christian Eben's father and brother , the time when they were together, they were having sex. There wasnt even an Epilogue!!!! It just ended with them still having sex!!!

A bit read: very rapey. No particular liking towards any of the characters. Dec 26, Emma Casartelli rated it liked it. I enjoyed this book. Felt like it ended too quickly. I liked the side characters especially Christian and Connor. Would have been nice to have a sequel with Christian in.
