Rwd 3.0 duratec install

Our engines are shrink wrapped, strapped to crates and shipped out via a trucking company. Normally the engines go to a trucking depot closest to your location where you need to pick it up with a truck.

They normally have forklifts on hand that load heavy items into vehicles. Shipping anywhere in the continental US is included in our pricing. Shipping outside of the US is extra. What kind of warranty do you have? Our engine builds come with a typical 30 day parts warranty. If you have an engine issue that was not caused by the installer you will need to send the engine back to our shop for inspection.

We will send out a different engine if the issue was not related to install issues. We are available for tech support during and after installation via E-mail. Typical response time within 12 hours, usually MUCH quicker. What are typical mileages of the engines you build? For the most part our engines come with around 30,, miles. We try to use motors with less than 50, miles whenever possible. What kinds of tuning do you recommend?

A stock SVT Contour typically runs around a Stock 5-speed V6 Cougars and Contours run around 16 seconds. A properly running 3L swapped car should be able to run 14's low 14's with supporting mods. Do you plan on offering any tuning services? Not at this time, we leave that to the professionals, and we also recommend you dyno-tune your car in person. Do not trust mail order tunes. If you have questions on tuning please email us and we can forward you to a competent tuner.

How could I get my car there if I wanted you to install the motor? Depending on distance, we can work something out. If you're going to take it to 9krpm and go silly with it bhp is doable for an engine with a check over once every 12 months. Oh and it as a 89mm bore so no you cant use the 2. Or where they standard cams?

That would probably still not be bad price for pistons. If I knew what all I needed I could probably get shipped to my aunts house in New York as I plan to go out in a few weeks time to visit.

And do yo happen to know what the torque output was for it? Hi throttle bodies they used titan purely because of clearance under bonnet but jenvey do a full kit ready to bolt on to start they where on standard cams but fitted verniers to remove the variable cam. Dave at emerald is very good and knows is stuff and can help with your setup he can supply and fit plus programme and he wont have your pants down.

My duratec 3. If you prepared to go turbocharged you can boost a standard st engine to bhp with only changing the con rods I know lots of second hand arrow ones for sale and some cheap spray jets to cool pistons new cams not needed or flowed heads I've bought a jag version to look at using the head which is superior, but only real gain would be high end rpm and I already rev to rpm Have you guessed what car uses a turbocharged version of this engine as standard?

Btw the 2. I've been thinking more on the aj30 jag engine rather than the st engine, but is there any difference in the conrods in two engines? What's the story on the arrow rods?

There needs to be a harness and ECU introduction to the vehicle. Lots and lots of electronics to be worked out with the VVT engine. Have fun with all that Click to expand Sounds like a fun project. As for picking your turbo it is going to come down to your power goal, type of fuel, boost pressure, intercooler configuration, just to name a few.

It asks you a series of questions and provides some recommended turbos to choose from. It sounds like you know what options you want, but maybe not your targets. It really comes down to looking at the compressor maps to make sure you have sized it right for your application.

Garrett's website has some good information on explaining how to read and use compressor maps for turbos. I would start there.

Hope that helps! Heywood Hard-core CEG'er. Joined Jan 24, Messages 1, Location Montreal. The V6 Duratec engines are also used in the S type Jag which were inline Thanks for the feed back. I was thinking of using the I4 Duratec hopefully achieving around bhp. As others have mentions the cost of a bell housing, fly wheel, clutch and type 9 is around 1k, this would seam to be the same sort of cost as using the 6 speed NC box.

This interesting build thread shows the box in a car you can see the angle. I guess as the cost are similar it comes down to finding the box that has the better ratios.
