To become a new god, Arkham stabs Mary with the bayonet her cannon in order to get the blood that belonged to her ancestor. Sparda killed that ancestor to supress the power of the tower and open the gate.
With Dante's, Vergil's and Mary's blood, the tower starts to awaken. Arkham is brought up to the summit by an elevator and waits for his chant and the bells which were a mystery until now to be put together. Vergil is seen unconsious while the other two continue onwards.
Dante progresses on his own path and when chasing with the fatigued Mary, he takes the chance to face her father for her and leave her out. Mary stubbornly fights Dante, insisting that she should be the one to kill him.
After the fight, Dante explains his motivations and Mary entrusts him with Kalina Ann and her mission. Dante comes to the top of the tower, and fights his shadow, Doppelganger. After defeating it, he comes to Arkham in a strange area within the Demon World. Dante is disgusted by Arkham taking on his father's form, however, this is short lived as Arkham's dark heart causes him to transform into a blob-like creature. He battles Dante in an effort to be more powerful by any means necessary.
In the battle, as Dante was busy with Arkham, Vergil appears and takes his stand against the two. He and Dante take on Arkham for not backing away from the power when he could. The brothers are hindered by their weapons and Dante has one of his guns knocked out his hand. They remember their old, childhood saying of " Jackpot!
With the weakened Arkham taken out, he is kicked out of the Demon World and drops to the tower's top in with a force that paralyses his legs. Mary comes up to her father and as he pleads for her assistance, but she denies him and abandons her name as Lady.
She chooses to end his life, but cries over the loss of her family. Back in the demon world, Dante and Vergil face off to have control of the sword. Dante is told to give up his amulet by his stubborn brother. Dante fights him off and ends him with a powerful slash at the peak of Vergil's swing, wounding him and making him fall into the dark part of the Demon World.
Dante escapes the soon-to-be closed and unstable portal, taking the Force Edge and his amulet half back with him. Returning to the Human World, Dante meets Lady outside the tower where she coins the phrase "devil may cry" while trying to comfort Dante over the loss of his brother. They form a friendship and the beginnings of a partnership in demon-slaying. He later on names his shop "Devil May Cry".
By accomplishing certain conditions, there is an extra scene that shows Vergil's fate. Still in the Demon World, severely weakened, yet determined, he encounters Mundus , his father's old enemy, and charges into battle against him. His fate is later on revealed in Devil May Cry. He mainly attacks with Beowulf. Watch out for his Starfall attack, try to evade the most you can. After taking a lot of damage, at about half health, he'll start using Yamato.
This is signaled by the audio cue "Rest in Peace", and Vergil performing Volcano in the center of the battlefield.
This is the only time he uses Volcano. He will use Devil Trigger during the fight. Normal attacks will not cause him to flinch while Devil Trigger, but activating Devil Trigger yourself will make the two of you equal again. Vergil will only come out of DT after a certain amount of time has passed, or if he takes enough damage. It is not recommended to wait for his DT to time out, as he will recover his health.

If you have Lv. Air Teleport Attack - A bell will chime and a portal will open in the air then the Vanguard will dash through it while spinning his scythe. Ground Teleport Attack - A bell will chime and the ground will distort then the Vanguard will shoot up from the ground while spinning his scythe. A variety of Hell Prides, Lusts, and Wraths will attack much like the last mission. On higher difficulties these enemies can be a nightmare with their red arrows and constant running, but they are not too bad on hard difficulty or anything below.
Avoid their blue arrows on your way up to them and take them out quickly. Hell Prides, Lusts, and Wraths will eventually litter the street below. Use the barrels on the side shoot them with a gun to defeat them quickly and of course shoot the Hell Wraths first when they appear with a group of enemies.
Hit the device with the Sanskrit emblem behind the jukeboxes until it fully lights up to get rid of the blue seal blocking your path. Three Hell Sloths will teleport to the top of the steps and slash all at once. The Sloths will attack by teleporting toward you after they cry out and will slash you once they teleport next to you. Watch for their sudden yell then get ready to dodge. Hell Lusts will join the Sloths after you have defeated the first three Sloths.
The red seal will disappear after you have defeated all the enemies. Destroy both dumpsters for some red orbs and leap onto the catwalks on the side of the right building look for the ladder for some more red orbs.
You can destroy the side of the left building next to the Love Plant building. Jump to the second floor for a red orb and hit the orb pillar for some more.
Jump on top of the left building near the end and hit the Combat Adjudicator on the side with the Yamato Vergil or Rebellion Dante until you get a "Blast! Enter the doors of the building on the right to start Secret Mission 1. Be sure to power-up at the Divinity Statue since you've got a big battle coming up. When one enemy dies, Air Trick to the next standing enemy. Remember that Vergil starts out with Devil Trigger, so activate it when it's fully charged.
Always aim for one of the boss' heads with your projectile attacks to take more damage. Stay away from him and watch his actions to know what attack he will do. If he howls, that means ice crystals are about to rain from the ceiling so you will need to roll to the sides a few times to avoid it. Wait until a frost patch appears below you and then roll to the right or left to avoid the attack a bit better.
The attack will become much harder to avoid as the battle continues since the ice crystal rain will start to last longer, prompting you to roll more than once. When he starts to charge, move away from the front of him since he will shoot a group of ice balls from his mouth. You can hit the ice balls for some green orbs if your aim is good enough. If you are on one of the sides during his ice ball attack, you can run up to his side and attack one of his front feet to make him fall then hit one of his heads while he recovers.
The main attack you will need to look out for while fighting him especially on harder difficulties is his pounce attack. He will lean back like an animal ready to pounce, then leap toward you.
Stay out of his way before the pounce and he will miss you - roll if needed. The chains on his legs will start to reel him back in as he recovers from the pounce and that is your cue to target a head and attack him while he moves back.
Eventually he will stomp the ground and ice will shoot up all around him as he turns red with anger.
His attacks will become much faster during this phase so you will need to watch his actions more carefully to make sure he doesn't catch you off guard. You can easily stand back on any difficulty level and kill this boss by spamming him to death with Summoned Swords if they are at level 3. Use Vergil's Yamato air attack or a Trick Up while jumping to avoid Cerberus' ice breath better while jumping.
Use Force Edge's normal combo or Yamato's Aerial Rave when you go to attack Cerberus in either of his heads with a melee weapon. DANTE - Your handguns will play a vital role in this battle for removing the ice that protects his heads.
Constantly shoot at him with the handguns while dodging his attacks. Hit him with Rebellion's normal combo as he recovers from a pounce.
Ice Crystals will rain from the ceiling and fall wherever your character is currently at. Ice Breath - Cerberus will raise his right head into the air then breathe ice onto the ground and freeze the entire area. Ice Ball - Cerberus will kneel his head down and charge while glowing a bluish color in the mouth. He will eventually pull his head upwards and shoot out an ice ball directly ahead of him. As the battle progresses he will start to shoot out more than one ice ball.
Pounce - Cerberus will jump backward like an animal before it pounces, then rush toward you. He will start to pounce faster as the battle progresses and will start to move backward after the pounce faster as well. On higher difficulties there is very little warning for this move. Ice Shockwave - Cerberus will raise one of his front paws into the air and hit the ground sending an ice shockwave toward you.
He will usually do a shockwave with his right paw then do another with his left paw. Bite - If you get next him he will try to bite you with all three heads at once. Paw Strike - If you remain next to one of his sides for too long he will lean one of his paws back and hit you with it. Ignore the door covered in flames for now. Run up a few levels of the tower and go through the blue door.
Nevermind the cage for the moment. Go through the red door. There is a red orb pillar in the back as well. Hit the Sanskrit emblem on the side of the wall until it lights up then get on the elevator.
The Hell Gluttonies are actually pretty easy to defeat, just make sure to watch out for their sand spray attack. The pedestal at the top cannot be used at the moment. Enter the pillar of light after the battle to return to where you were. Wait until it comes back out of the hole look for the light , then jump onto its back and work your way to its head.
Attack it directly in the back of the head to deal double damage to it. The Gigapede will start to move faster and will eventually retreat back into the wall after hitting its head a few times. If you attack the Gigapede anywhere else on its body, besides its head, it will turn over and dump you off eventually.
Wait above the hole that it goes into and jump onto its back as it enters the area to kill it quickly. It is possible to target the Gigapede while it is still inside the hole - this will help as you wait for it to exit each hole.
Use Trick Up to help you get some extra distance when jumping on his back. If you fall off of his back continuously hit him with Summoned Swords until he retreats back into a hole. Lightning Shots - The Gigapede will send out blue energy balls that will shoot a stream of lightning out of the bottom as it travels toward you. A cutscene will start as you attempt to leave. Do not attack them normally with a melee weapon or you'll only cause them to multiply. Shoot them with whatever projectile-type weapon you have to turn them to stone.
Hit them enough while they are stoned and they will shatter. These things are actually more annoying on easier difficulty setting since they will multiply with fewer hits from accidental melee attacks on their blood form. After the battle go back the way you Well, let's see where that portal leads shall we? You can't leave the room through the big doors until you go through the portal. He's actually pretty easy once you learn when to attack him.
He will usually start out with his taunt stance. While he is taunting, you must attack him with a projectile weapon. He will begin to dance in place as you shoot projectiles at him and will eventually teleport to an area across from you and fan himself with his baton - that is your cue to unload on him.
If you try to hit him with a melee weapon during his taunting, he will dodge the hit by teleporting elsewhere and will taunt you some more. Eventually he will surround himself with a force field and will summon energy spheres from portals that will appear near him. Stay away from him while the energy spheres are exiting the portals.
If the spheres circle him or bounce around him it is best to move around the center area and avoid the sphere while continuously firing at him with your projectile weapon.
If you see a green sphere among the other purple spheres, you can destroy it for a green orb use a projectile weapon. When only one portal opens you will need to roll away from the oncoming spheres that will shoot rapidly out of the portal by rolling to one side continuously - when you reach the opposite side start rolling the other way.
It is possible to run up to him directly after each sphere attack and get a few hits in while he is still surrounded by the force field.
He will go back to his taunt stance after the force field is gone. Use Beowulf's first two hit's from the normal combo and chain into the Lunar Phase or just do constant Lunar Phases. While dodging his spheres constantly hit him with Summoned Swords. Use Cerberus' Revolver on him while when he is stunned. Hit him with a projectile weapon and he will begin to dance in place then teleport to an area across from you and fan himself with his baton.
Force Field and Energy Spheres - He will encase himself in a force field and will summon energy spheres through one, two, or three portals. The small glowing section of the floor on the bottom will give you a boost if you jump on it to help you get back up to the top floor. Jump down to the bottom of the chamber to get to the item that is now available. Collect the Vajura from the fourth floor and go through the blue door on the third floor.
This will lift the cage in the middle of the room. Approach the cage and grab the Soul of Steel from the pedestal. Hell Gluttonies and Enigmas will warp into the room and seal off both entrances. Defeat the Enigmas first since they will continually fire arrows at you.
Go back to the Chamber of Echoes. Since you have the Soul of Steel you will not fall into the abyss. Put the Soul of Steel in the hollow place on the wall to reveal a door. Examine the red glowing emblem on the wall for Secret Mission 2. Have the Yamato equipped and run toward one of the Enigmas on the right or left side.
Dodge the first arrow attack while standing near one of the side Engimas then unload on each of them one by one with a jumping Yamato slash. It should only take two air attacks per Enigma. Use Vergil's teleport to speed things up when moving in between the others.
As soon as the Enigmas in the back fire their arrows, roll out of the way and continue attacking. Attack all the others quickly and they shouldn't be able to fire again.
Hell Prides will attack while the elevator is moving up. Wait for them to jump into the middle, then jump away from them. Use the normal Yamato combo Vergil or Rebellion's normal combo Dante to knock them off the elevator while they are grouped.
The last hit or Vergil's Yamato will send them all off. Walk down the steps to find a Divinity Statue along with plenty of breakable objects across from it. Enter the red door. Both of them will charge behind you at the beginning of the battle and will then run toward you and either jump at you or run toward you and slash you from the ground.
Most of the time they will each jump. Lock onto one of them and keep backing up as they dash then jump right before the first one lands and jump again right before the other hits the ground. If you are brave enough, you can do an air attack on the way down from the second jump.
The best way to hit these two is to knock the sword out of their hands. In order to do this you will need to hit them right before they attack. You must hit them not exactly the second before their sword hits you, but a little bit before they are about to strike.
A good way to time the attack is to attack one of them until he blocks then let up. Each one will always counter with an attack based on your distance. When you see the attack coming, attack a little bit before the slash to instantly knock the sword out of that boss' hand depending on the difficulty.
Sometimes a jumping attack works best to knock the weapon out of their hands. The boss will kneel over and be totally open to attack after you knock away his weapon. Any attacks on him while he is kneeling over will result in double damage to that boss. If you want to go the defensive route then you will need to dodge each of their attacks right when you hear them yell out their phrases before attacking and hit them from the back.
Take advantage of whenever you see one of them charging a sword and get a few free hits in. The boss with the charged sword will always be the most aggressive so be sure to target him. If you can get the boss with the charged blade to hit the other boss then this will take off quite a bit of damage from the other boss. I would highly advise you to try to weaken both bosses at the same time. Once one of the bosses has been killed off a cutscene will play eventually, in which the other boss will take up his brother's sword and continue the battle with both swords.
Right after the cutscene you will need to jump since the boss will be in the middle of jumping strike as the cutscene ends. While one of the bosses has both swords they will do the attacks of both Agni and Rudra. You will have to listen to the phrase that they yell out and which arm they pull back to know what attack they will do. The boss will be able to do both of Agni and Rudra's super attacks in one big super attack.
They will also have a new super attack in which they will send a constant group of three flame waves toward you. You will need to walk in between the flames or roll through them. The same rules as when you were fighting them together still apply to this battle. You can still knock the swords out of the boss' hand to stun him, but it is much harder now. You can easily spam both bosses with the Yamato air attack the entire battle and come out victorious.
When you attack them with the air attack, just barely tap the jump button and slash then repeat. The Yamato Aerial Rave is also the best way to knock their sword out of their hands with Vergil. Hit one of them and make him block then right before he attacks, tap the jump button and use Aerial Rave. This will almost always knock the sword out of that boss' hand. Be sure to spam them with Summoned Swords as they run away or run toward you.
Another good method for Vergil is to avoid their attacks by Tricking Up right before they attack then come down upon the with a Helmet Breaker. The Tricking Up method works really well for when there is only one left. This move is capable of removing both the weapons from each boss' hand at once if timed correctly.
Cerberus will take double damage at all times from Agni because of his weakness to ice. He will sometimes do this while standing as well. Running Slash Attack - After running to one side of the room with his brother, Agni will run toward you then slash. Forward Thrust - Agni will yell out "It's over" right before lunging toward you with a forward thrust.
Small Slice - Agni will yell "See ya! Flame Current - Agni will spin the fire sword behind him while yelling and plunge the sword into the ground sending a flame current toward you. Charge - Agni will hold sword downward and keep the free hand on the sword while yelling and will charge the sword with the fire element. Running Slash Attack - After running to one side of the room with his brother, Rudra will run toward you then slash.
Uppercut - Rudra will yell out "Eat this! Small Uppercut - Rudra will state "See ya. Please note that he does not yell for this attack Whirlwind - Rudra will spin the wind sword behind him while yelling and plunge the sword into the ground creating a whirlwind around him.
Charge - Rudra will hold sword downward and keep the free hand on the sword while yelling and will charge the sword with the wind element. Forward Thrust with fire sword - Boss will yell out "It's over" right before lunging toward you with a forward thrust from his right hand.
Small Uppercut with wind sword - Boss will state "See ya. Please note that he does not yell for this attack Small Slice with fire sword - Boss will yell "See ya!
Whirlwind and Flame current - Boss will spin the wind sword behind him while yelling and plunge both swords into the ground creating a whirlwind around him and this will also send a flame current toward you.
Fire Waves - Boss will spin both of the swords above him then shoot three waves toward you a total of three times. Running Cross Slash - Boss will suddenly run toward you and perform a cross slash with both swords as he reaches you. Somersault Strike - Boss will jump into the air and quickly do a somersault then use the wind sword to do a downward strike as he hits the ground.
Go through the door in the back to finish this mission. Head through the red double doors. You must complete at least two of them to advance further. Place the two Essences from any two of the trials on the goddess statue to get rid of the debris in front of the door in the Mute Goddess' chamber. For this battle you will get a little taste of what it is like to play on Dante Must Die Mode.
Try to fight them right now if you want some DMD mode practice. All the enemies that attack will Devil Trigger and become unstoppable when the Sanskrit emblems are not lit up. You will have to run to each Sanskrit emblem and light each of them up to cancel the enemies' Devil Trigger mode.
As soon as one of the emblems goes out the enemies will return to Devil Trigger mode so you will have to constantly run back and hit each Sanskrit emblem to light it back up. The first few enemies will be Hell Prides then some Hell Gluttonies and a Hell Wrath will teleport into the area later. By the end Hell Lusts and Sloths will be attacking as well. Be sure to take out the Sloths quickly since they can be a real nuisance while Devil Triggered with their teleport attack.
Grab the Essence of Fighting from the pedestal and leave the room. Move out of the way of the wall spikes and jump over the floor spikes while heading down the path to the Essence of Technique. Blood-Goyles and Hell Gluttonies will attack as you go to leave the trial. In order to solve the puzzle you must go through the correct doorways with the right corresponding number of lit up stones above the doorway. If you choose the wrong doorway you will have to fight a group of Hell Prides and Lusts with some Blood-Goyles.
Look at the blue stone tablet outside the trials to find the following message: "Your wisdom will be put to the test in the chamber ahead. Use your lifetime experience: from the crawling infant; to the man standing tall; and finally to the old man-leaning on his cane. Walk through whichever door of your choosing when you're done to exit the trial.
There are some red orb pickups above the statue and above the stairway down the hall. Walk up the stairs to finish this mission. Jump to the alcove to the right of the door with the face imprinting above it and examine the skeleton statue with the red jewel for a secret mission. As the description says you will to stay in the air for 20 seconds during this mission in order to get a blue orb fragment. Stay in the middle at the beginning since Hell Prides will teleport into the room near each doorway.
Start to jump while inside the doorway and as the Hell Prides group below Vergil, you should be able to start jumping off of them as you keep jumping. Virgil's head will continually hit the ceiling of the doorway while jumping off of the enemy. This may take a few tries, but it works well. You can also quickly switch to a weapon that will allow Dante to do an Air Hike then switch back to Nevan and repeat.
If you are close to a wall or enemy then you can skip off the wall or enemy when you get near the ground. Nevan's Air Raid will also help you out as well.
While attacking them, jump away from them as their swords glow red or they will spread their swords apart and hit you in the process. One of the Pawns will be guarding an Orihalcon Fragment. Grab the Orihalcon Fragment and exit the room.
Open the blue door. Jump behind the railing next to the tall door at the top of the stairs to find a Vital Star S. Ignore the other door for now, since you don't have the other crystal skull yet and go through the tall door. Walk toward the statue with candles around it and Hell Greeds will teleport into the room. These enemies will constantly bury their coffins into the ground and summon Hell Prides and Lusts so these enemies should always be the first ones you should defeat when they are in a crowd.
While attacking them, if they ever hold their coffin up, they are about to take a swing at you. Jump away right before they swing and wait for them to bury the coffin into the ground then attack them. Collect the Siren's Shriek from the altar after the battle.
Open the tall door across from the statue. Use the Orihalcon Fragment on the elevator control panel at the top of the stairs. The elevator door at the bottom will open for you. Ride the elevator to the bottom. Walk down the stairs to find a Yellow Orb or Gold Orb depending on which one you chose at the beginning.
Enter the door at the top of the stairs. Break the Sphere that falls from the ceiling to find a Crystal Skull. A Hell Greed and Hell Lusts will teleport into the room and seal off the exit.
Defeat the Hell Greeds first during this battle to keep them from summoning more Hell Lusts. Exit through the door and go back up the elevator in the Chamber of Echoes. Defeat them before they summon a bunch of Hell Prides into the room. A Hell Vanguard will teleport into the room as the other enemies die. Use your best weapon and hit him until your swords clash then attack him with a powerful quick hit.
The red seals will break when the Vanguard is defeated. Use the Divinity Statue to power up for the battle ahead. Run up the walkway to trigger a boss battle at the top. Wait for an open spot while dodging one his attacks then hit him and he will stagger, which will leave him open to quite a few attacks.
Eventually he will parry one of your attacks and attack you immediately afterward. Roll out of the way as soon as you see the attack coming directly after the parry and you will have another chance to hit him.
The main attack you have to look out for in this battle is his Rapid Slash - roll to the side the moment you see him dash. Vergil will always parry the next hit if you hit him while he recovers from his Rapid Slash. Be careful about trying to get a free hit while he taunts since he will sometimes cancel the taunt into an attack. If he ever teleports, roll immediately since he will try to hit you afterward. Toward the end of the battle he will teleport to one of the sides and unleash a gravity wave toward you Judgement Cut.
Dodge the gravity wave with a roll or jump if you are far away, but if you are close, lock onto him and hit him with a Stinger. Force Edge works the best for catching him off guard. Yamato Combo - Vergil will hit you two twice with the sheath of his sword then perform a powerful thrust with the Yamato for the third hit.
Upper Slash - Vergil will uppercut then perform a downward strike with the Yamato. Air Trick Combo - Vergil will teleport directly toward you and start a combo that will begin with a sheath hit then end with either a thrust or the Upper Slash attack.
Taunt - Vergil will taunt just like Dante. Be careful since he will sometimes cancel the taunt and attack before he finishes. He loves to cancel a taunt into a Rapid Slash. Judgement Cut - Vergil will teleport to one of the sides of the tower and unsheathe his sword quickly and send a gravity wave toward your way.
When he has less than half health bar, he goes berserk, his eyes start glowing red and starts running all over the place. He also does his 3-hit combo, but faster this time, being harder to evade. He also punches the floor and creates the same beam of light. When he's away from you, he takes out his wings and hurls feathers at you, which come at a really great speed. Do your best to avoid it. The fastest way to kill him is to spam Summoned Swords nonstop and when he gets near to you, use your Yamato on his eyes to blind him.
Then run to his back and combo him using your Force Edge. When he drops his pillars, spam Summoned Swords to destroy them before they get to you. When he uses his wing attack, you can easily evade it using Dark Slayer. It keeps Secret Missions Anyway, return to the wagon Haywire Neo-Generator in the previous room and ride it back. When you get to the other side of the Temperance Wagon, grab the oo Green Orb from under the statue and proceed to the next room.
In this room, a Red Seal appears and it's time to dispose of several demons. Just plain and simple demons. Take them all out and proceed to the next room, which should be the Gears of Madness. In here, there are several Blood-Goyles, but if you don't wanna waste time, locate a gear in middle of the room, jump on it then on an upper platform with some Red Orbs.
From here, simply proceed to the next room. This is the room where Arkham was "killed" by Vergil. Kill the Hell Vanguard first and then take care of the Demons later. Now move to the next room and you'll get rid of the Haywire Neo-Generator now that's an unique way to get rid of it ;. Now run to the other side of the bridge and enter the blue door.
Approach the shiny object on the floor to get a 'Vital Star L'. Run down the stairs and enter the door at the bottom to start a Boss Fight!
An annoying battle I really don't like this one. There are 2 phases of this fight. The first one, you're on a bridge and everything Geryon does is run towards you and disappears behind you to reappear in front and keep charging. I found a really quick way to do that. Do this over and over until the next phase starts. Second phase starts You're now in a coliseum, so Geryon's attacks are faster, deadlier and smarter. The most common of his attacks is when he starts running around the coliseum, launching missiles at you.
Try running behind him and as close as possible so the missiles hit right behind you. After some time, he runs to the middle of the coliseum and swings his cart, dealing great damage, so make sure to keep your distance. When he's in the middle of the coliseum, jump on top of the cart and start using Cerberus while in DT. He'll then start running around the place. In another of his attacks, he disappears and appears in another part, while he tries to hit you.
Keep R1 pressed at all times, so you know where he is. He then stays put in the middle, and while he's here, he'll either launch missiles at you or summon some blue flames under you that do massive damage. Just like before, jump on top of the cart and start whacking it nonstop. Hop on the carriage and use Beowulf over and over to deal massive damage to Geryon. While you're on top, you can make a ring of Summoned Swords to deal even more damage. Grab the Red Orbs left by Geryon's corpse and proceed through the open gate to finish this mission.
Also, Vergil obtains 'Beowulf'. JK XD. There's another Combat Adjudicator Nevan staircase here. Examine the red light when Yamato you cross it to start Secret Mission 8. Key Item. There are several Arachnes in here, trying to kick your ass.
Since there's no time limit, take your time while taking care of all of them. Spiral is a good choice if you're away from them. After killing all the Arachnes, 2 Hell Vanguards will appear.
Oh, spooky XD. Take them out as if you were killing just one. Go right from Dante and jump to the ceiling at the end to find 'Devil Star'. There will be some Damned Pawns and Bishops, so kill them and when you get to a brownish door, enter it. Remember the Crystal puzzle in Mission 10? Also, before the Orihalcon, check the left wall to find an opening. Examine the red-eyed bull to start Secret Mission 9.
Ok, another Secret Mission that I hate. What you need to do is to kill all the enemies that appear in the other cart. If you need more help, try using Quicksilver to slow things down. The last carts are filled with Wraths, so make sure to take them out as fast as possible. Spam Summoned Swords nonstop make sure they're on Lv.
Now enter the huge gate using the Orihalcon to start a battle with Vergil He's nearly the same as before, only now he has Beowulf, which totally kick ass. He starts the battle by using them. He'll do a combo that will always end with a Killer Bee. Evade it either by running or by rolling and quickly counter him because he'll have his defense down. He also has DT, just like you. Attack him as much as possible to lessen his DT, because it heals him just like yours do to you.
He also forgets the Beowulf combo and transports on top of you and tries to hit you with a Killer Bee. Once again, evade the attack and counter him nonstop, using your DT as much as you can. And last but not least, his projectile attack called Summoned Swords. He creates a wall of Summoned Swords around him and he either transports them around you to damage you, or he shoots them at you. The exact same thing as Dante, so have fun.
Beowulf From where you start, follow the path Blue Orb Fragments Go to the lower part of this room to Secret Missions Use it to take out Combat Adjudicator Beowulf Beowulf. Go south from the statue and jump at Force Edge the end to find some Red Orbs. Now go to the Divinity Statues You need a C rank, so I'll be amazed if you can't do that. Now the oo path is rather linear, being that everything got messed up thanks to Arkham.
When you get to the Altar of Evil, you'll be attacked by Blood-Goyles. Take them all out and proceed to the next room, which is the Temperance Wagon. You know the deal, right? Kill all the enemies that appear, as well as the Hell Vanguard that appears. Once you reach the other side, enter the place where you defeated Beowulf to find a completely different room. Enter through the first gate and you'll be in a fork. Follow the one that has a red background and you'll have to fight some Damned Knights.
Kill them and enter the gate with the green background to find 'Vital Star S'. Fight some Damned Pawns and Knights and return to the previous room. Return to the bluish room and enter the green room.
Kill the Damned Pawns, return to the pinkish room and enter the red room. Kill the Bishop and Damned Knights and enter the grey room. You'll be greeted by Bishops and Damned Knights. After you kill them, a 'Blue Orb Fragment' reveals behind the gate.
In the next room, enter the Subground Water Vein, where there are several Enigmas. Make your way to the light pillar to appear inside Love Planet.
Anyway, exit this place, gather the Red Orbs and approach Temen-ni-gru to trigger another kickass scene. To take them out quickly, Combat Adjudicator Key Item room. Ignore the Arachnes in the Provisions Room and proceed to the next room. In the oo Devilsprout Lift, run past the lift and enter the door to exit the area. Remember this area outside? Jump on top of the door using the walls on either side and break the Red Orb Stone for lots of Red Orbs.
Now go and jump under Leviathan's eye to find some more Red Orbs. Now hit the wheel to activate a little something back at the Provisions Storeroom. Return here and you'll see a wheel with 3 colors the red is on the bottom. Activate it once so the green is facing down. Now enter the door shown to you in the little scene.
Run through the room towards the Altar of Evil Pathway. There are Soul Eaters in the room, so take care of them, as well as the blades that are coming from both up and down. Return to the Gears of Madness, kill the Blood-Goyles and locate the tri- colored wheel.
Activate it once so the purple side is down, ride the gear up and enter the tri-colored door. You'll now be at the Rounded Pathway. Jump over the right sides of the blades. I recommend ignoring the Dullahans, as they're harmless. At the end of the path, activate once again the tri-colored wheel so the red side faces down and proceed to the next room.
You're in the Provisions Storeroom. Return to the tri-colored door and go through it to reach the Top Subterria Lack. Grab all the Red Orbs from the far right side of the area and hit the tri-colored wheel so the green segment is facing down and proceed through the it's respective door.
Follow the linear path until you get to the Underground Arena. There are some Fallens waiting for you here, but instead of killing them, jump to the bottom and go around the arena to find a 'Blue Orb Fragment'. Return to the top using the lift there. Return to the Top Subterria Lack, hit the tri-colored wheel so the purple side is down, go right and enter the blue door.
There are also spinning blades in this room, but they are on top and bottom and it's a lot harder to jump through them. Return to the Top Subterria Lack and go through the tri-colored door remember You'll be ambushed by several Arachnes and a red seal appears. Kill them all and proceed through the door to the Devilsprout Lift and examine the central artifact and use all 3 Orihalcon Fragments to make the lift appear.
Use it to finish this mission. Follow the Divinity Statues Take the upper path and Devil Star Kill all Onyx Moonshard Key Items the enemies and take the 'Devil Star'. Return Golden Sun Key Items to the previous room and take the lower path Vital Star S There are two wheels in here. What you need to do is to activate both of oo them and hit both spheres in order for them to crash and break. Afterwards, enter the little path that opened and grab the rotten banana 'Onyx Moonshard'.
A couple of Fallens appear to play a little bit with you. After the red seal disappears, return to where you started the mission and take the right path this time. Kill the enemies here and proceed to the next room. Red seal time and you know what that means. Kill the Enigmas and Blood-Goyles and proceed to the next room. In the Waking Sun Chamber, activate the wheel and then break the sphere. Afterwards, check the door of light in the room to start Secret Mission There are several layouts, so pick the one that you need.
Now several Damned Rooks will appear. Take them all out and return to the start of the mission. Use both items we just got and proceed to the next room, which happens to be Cerberus' Chamber. Kill all the Blood-Goyles and Enigmas and climb your way to the next room.
I recommend getting out of here as soon as you start. The camera angle is horrible and it'll cost a lot to finish the battle unharmed. In the Endless Infernum, carefully make your way to the other side you know where you'll end up if you fall and enter the big red door. Run to the other side of the large area and enter the door, ignoring the enemies. In this next kickass room, go right and grab 'Vital Star S', now proceed through the door.
Proceed to the next one to trigger a scene and a battle starts. Since she's not a devil, she only attacks you using guns and her missile launcher, but those are a pain in the ass too. Every time you Stinger her, she'll be pushed back and she'll counter by shooting. Evade it if you can. She often disappears and starts throwing grenades all over the place.
Try staying on the higher places and continue the combos. Since she's human, she takes more damage than any other boss, so that's good.
Now simply make your way to the top and enter the door to end the mission. When you get to the door, enter the Secret Missions Combat Adjudicator Beowulf If not, enter the door.
The enemies in here Force Edge are DTed, which makes them a lot harder. Now jump on oo the central cube and make your way to the next floor. Enter the door here to enter the Firestorm Chamber. Kill the Enigmas and Hell Vanguards in here and proceed to the next room. Use Divinity Statue if needed and smash everything here. Go to where the lift was and you'll find a 'Blue Orb Fragment'. Now return to the God-cube Chamber and make your way to the top, using the cubes on the right side Dante's left as you exit the Firestorm Chamber.
Just like before, you need to make your way through the room while evading the spears. Do so, exit this room and jump on the orange pad to reach another area of the mission.
